SSLC Percentage Calculation Formulas
The formula for calculating SSLC percentage varies by state:
- Kerala SSLC:
- Step 1: Calculate Total Grade Point (TGP) by assigning points: A+ = 9, A = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, C+ = 5, C = 4, D+ = 3, D = 2, E = 0.
- Step 2: Multiply TGP by 1.11 to get percentage.
- Example: 5 A+ (5*9 = 45), 3 A (3*8 = 24), 2 B+ (2*7 = 14). TGP = 45 + 24 + 14 = 83. Percentage = 83 * 1.11 = 92.13%.
- Karnataka SSLC:
- Formula: (Total Scored Marks / Total Maximum Marks) * 100.
- Example: Scored 500 out of 625. Percentage = (500 / 625) * 100 = 80%.
- Tamil Nadu SSLC:
- Formula: (Total Scored Marks / Total Maximum Marks) * 100.
- Example: Scored 400 out of 500. Percentage = (400 / 500) * 100 = 80%.
Note: Official percentages may include grace marks or moderation. Always verify with your board.
